Job Highlights:

• Weekend coverage rotating every other week.
• On-call flat rate of $250 per weekend.
• Hourly rate of $50 per hour if called in due to call-out or emergency.
• On-Call Nurse is expected to be within one hour from the facility and available from Friday night through Sunday night.

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities.
• Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
• Develop, maintain, and periodically update the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and nursing service objectives and philosophies.
• Develop and implement a nursing service organization structure.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the activity programs of this facility.
• Involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible. Involve the resident/family in planning objectives and goals for the resident.
• Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the resident’s response to the service.
• Assist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs. Assist in cleaning up activity areas after completing activity functions.
• Assist in the moving/arranging of equipment/supplies to assure that activity areas are ready for scheduled activity functions.
• Assist in development, preparation and disbursement of paperwork, calendars, and more!
